Award Thank you Letters

Dear {Recipient},

Receiving the {name of award} at last {day of the week}'s {event} was a pleasant surprise—with so many incredible volunteers in our organization, hearing my name being called out was the last thing I ever expected to happen.

Since I was caught off guard, I'm pretty sure I bungled my thank you speech, though I don't remember that part very clearly. So, I'm writing this letter to better express my gratitude.

I want to say thank you to all of the {officers/board members} for this wonderful recognition. It is always a joy to volunteer with {name of organization}, and I look forward to many more years of doing so.
